A day-long Training of Trainers (ToT) on ‘Beneficiary Identification and Selection’ was held on August 27, 2026 in the seminar room of Economic Acceleration and Resilience for NEET (EARN) project office, implemented by the Department of Youth Development.
The program covered an overall introduction to the EARN project, the definition and context of NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), the identification and selection process for potential beneficiaries, and the use of the Beneficiary Identification Tool (BIT). It also featured a practical demonstration and hands-on practice session on the mobile and web applications of the EARN Information Management System (IMS).
Kazi Mokhlesur Rahman, Project Director, attended the event as the chief guest. Wishing the trainees success, he said, `We must present complete and accurate information about our project to the youth. The success of the EARN project largely depends on the proper application of the knowledge you acquire here.’ Dr. Marina Nazneen, Additional Project Director was present as the special guest.
In the final session, practical modules were conducted to gather participant feedback and share details regarding the next steps of the training program, user support, and the IAM platform.
